A prominent national pipeline owner (and their general contractor) contacted Gabe’s when they found themselves in a crisis. A contractor had started the HDDs, but ultimately failed to complete them. As the project fell further behind schedule and local pressure built, the owner and GC needed a solution — fast! Gabe’s mobilized three full maxi-rig spreads (46 semitrucks full of specialized equipment) in just two weeks. Their expert crews were responsible for the installation of 10” steel pipe via HDDs, which required an 18” final ream. The HDDs were 4,601 LF, 4,295 LF, 1,206 LF, and 868 LF.
Because this project was already behind schedule, the Gabe’s team had to plan accurately and quickly. They were mobilized and had all equipment setup and running within two weeks of notification. Once on site, their team successfully navigated multiple obstacles, including a very inconsistent formation of clay and rock veins running under a delineated wetland and streams area.
